Probiotics & Digestion

Digestive supplements split into three groups that work nothing like each other on the label. Probiotics are dosed in CFU — billions of live organisms — and list named strains. Enzyme products are dosed in activity units such as FCC, HUT or DU, which do not convert to milligrams. Fibre supplements are dosed in grams per serving.

For probiotics, the strain names and the CFU count at expiry rather than at manufacture are the two things worth finding on the back panel, along with whether refrigeration is required. For fibre, whether the product is psyllium, inulin or a blend changes both the gram dose and the format entirely.

Use the filters to narrow by brand, strength, format and servings per container, then open any listing for a full review written from the product’s own label.
