Ginseng

Ginseng is one word covering several distinct plants — Panax (Asian) ginseng, American ginseng and, despite the name, Siberian eleuthero, which is a different species entirely. The species is named on the panel and changes what you are comparing.

Where a standardised extract is used, the ginsenoside percentage is stated; where root powder is used, it usually is not. As with other botanicals, check whether the milligram figure describes raw herb or extract before comparing two bottles.
