Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is usually sold as a root extract, and the label detail that matters is the extract ratio or the standardised withanolide percentage. Named branded extracts state theirs; generic root powder often does not, and a 500 mg capsule of raw powder is not equivalent to 500 mg of a concentrated extract.

Capsules dominate the category, with powders and gummies also common. Compare the withanolide figure where it is given, then milligrams per serving, then servings per container.

See also turmeric and ginseng, or browse all herbal supplements. Ashwagandha also appears in blended relaxation formulas.
