Iron
Iron supplements are compared on elemental iron per serving, which is often smaller than the compound weight printed on the front. Ferrous sulfate, ferrous gluconate, ferrous bisglycinate and carbonyl iron are the common forms, each named on the panel.
Format spreads wide here — tablets, capsules, gummies and liquids — and liquid products state a dose per measured volume rather than per unit, so converting before comparing is necessary.
See also multivitamins, which often include iron, magnesium, and the full minerals hub.
